Minutes of SPA general meeting  6/21/07, Saratoga Library

 Present: Macki, Jack, Jeff, Joe, Barb M, Jim(Facilitator), Pete (minutes)

1.     Iraqi women and children event, ok in Saratoga,  Jeff H point person

 2.     Gillibrand meeting, in person and small preferred – message “stop  blaming the victim and end funds in September”  Joe S. to follow up

 3.     Claire reserved library space for 07-08 third Thursdays of the month

 4.     checkbook- Maki to deposit money and see what needs to be done to add signers

 5.     Questionnaire-Barb M to work with Jim and Claire and send out, including some hard copies

 6.     Peace Action presentation 9/23, 9/24 or 9/25.  Barb M to host at 43 Lundi Lane, Ballston Lake

 7.     7- Clifton Park vigil- now First Tuesdays 4-5pm by Fire Rd. park and ride until winter hours.

 8.     Website,   Jim to ask Jennifer to get minimal updating

 9.     Flag Day discussed. Possible meeting with Elks but sense they are not peace inclined (like finger given by one of their leaders in parade). Other parades and other groups discussed for future.

 10.  Barb will set up speaking engagements for May Safar about life in Iraq at Clifton Park churches.
