Notes from Saratoga Peace Alliance meeting,
December 20, 2007
 
Items discussed:
 
Jan. 4th 3 – 10pm Peace vigil at Rep. Gillibrand’s office on Broadway. Organized by Peaceworks affinity group, co-sponsored by SPA, will help Bob Alft with media outreach.
 
Jan. 11th  - Close Guantanamo – action in DC (Linda Letendre to participate)

Jan. 12th  - Close Guantanamo vigil in Saratoga – to be followed by video “The Camden 28” on Vietnam War civil disobedience, at the Saratoga Springs Public Library. Some of us will wear orange jumpsuits & hoods (like Guantanamo detainees) which we will get from Peace Action
 
Jan. 19th video "The Ground Truth" on GIs in Iraq and returning home, at the Saratoga Springs Public Library.
 
March anti-war actions – 5th anniversary of Invasion of Iraq
 
April 3rd – forum on Socialism, organized by Michael McGraw, co-sponsored by SPA – suggested inviting Socialist Party, Greens, Business community (capitalists)
