Resource guide to Coming Out
This is an excellent site of the Human Rights Campaign that
gives students and friends an opportunity to come out in today’s changing
world. There are resources for family members, friends, yourself, and even
something to read if you are questioning your sexual identity for the 1st
or 3rd time, or even if you have been questioning for years. This
site also has resources for coming out in communities of color, resources
for National Coming Out day (October 11th), a place to read
stories of others experiences in coming out, or simply coming out as a
straight ally.
National Coming Out Day Event Ideas
Prepared by the Human Rights Campaign, this site has Ideas
for hosting or participating in National Coming Out day including coming out
to friends and family, host a guest speaker, sponsor a GLBT-themed lecture
and/or discussion series, set up an information table, hold a speak-out or
rally, come out to your elected officials, show your support through
fashion, run a visibility ad, hold an interfaith service, sponsor a film or
cultural festival, hold a queer prom, dance, or party, make your GLBT
community visible, celebrate a GLBT history, construct a closet, chalking on
campus, hold a book drive, come out in support of others, or hold a
diversity training. This website goes deeper into each of these individual
events and activities.

This site provides an excellent resource for pride graphics
and symbols, a place to buy merchandise, gay radio stations, and links to
forums, gay history, and so forth. This is a very appealing and fun site!

My Child Is Gay! Now what do I do?
Resources for parents of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and
transgendered youth. This site contains questions that the parents of a
questioning child that they may be asking. It provides answers, resources,
and websites for even the questioning child.
