Upper Hudson Peace Action is joining Military
Families Speak Out in a sustained effort to urge Governor Paterson to
order New York State National Guard members home from Iraq.
We are also working with the other peace
groups across the state, including the17 chapters of Peace Action of New
York State. Our work is part of a national effort. Activists and local
political leaders in New Jersey,
Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont have joined the national campaign
to Bring the Guard Home.
Bring the Guard Home (It's the Law!)
The October 2002 Authorization to Use Military Force,
enabling Bush to have sent our National Guard to Iraq, has EXPIRED. The
Guard must be returned to the command of our Governors and be employed
at home where we need them most.
